Meet Volta MindWorks Therapist Samantha Dull: See Your Brilliance

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. In my therapy space, you’ll find a blend of humor, playfulness, and honest, direct conversation. I believe growth happens when we feel safe enough to explore, supported enough to stretch, and sometimes even lighthearted enough to laugh along the way. My approach is active, engaging, and rooted in the idea that therapy doesn’t have to feel heavy to be meaningful. I absolutely love working with children ,watching them express themselves, build skills, and find their voice is one of my greatest joys. But I also deeply value partnering with parents, and helping adults work through life's challenges. Supporting caregivers as they navigate challenges, strengthen connection, and build confidence in their parenting is a meaningful and energizing part of my work. Whether I’m meeting with a child, a parent, or the whole family, my goal is always the same: to create a space that feels genuine, collaborative, and refreshingly real. I have background in early childhood development and over nine years as a therapist, I’m passionate about helping kids and adolescents discover their strengths, build emotional skills, and truly understand how their amazing brains work. ADHD has always held a special place in my heart; it’s one of my favorite neurodevelopmental disorders to connect with kids and help them see their unique abilities as superpowers rather than struggles. Throughout my career, I’ve worked across inpatient and outpatient programs, schools, and therapeutic group homes, all focused on supporting adolescents. Those experiences have shown me time and again that kids are just kids, growing, learning, and figuring out their place in the world. Our role as adults is to give them the support, tools, and understanding they need to thrive. I’ve spent years deepening my knowledge of ADHD by attending international and local conferences, focusing my continuing education on the topic, and drawing from personal experience. I believe therapy works best when it’s a team effort between therapist, parent, and child; working together to nurture each child’s potential and build lasting confidence. My approach is flexible and creative, adapting to each child’s temperament and needs. I love blending Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and art-based techniques to make therapy engaging and effective. Most of all, I strive to create a space where kids feel seen, supported, and empowered, because their brains aren’t broken; they’re brilliant. FEES AND SLIDING SCALE OPTIONS Fees & Sliding Scale Options I strive to make therapy feel both accessible and sustainable. To support this, I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots using a trust-based model. You’re invited to choose a rate that feels manageable for you and your family. There is no documentation or proof of income that I will required. I believe that trust and honesty are the foundation of this practice, and I ask that this is taken into thoughtful consideration when selecting your rate. INITIAL INTAKE SESSION $180 – Standard Intake (75 minutes) Sliding Scale Options: $160 / $120 / $100 INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS $140 – 55 minutes $155 – 75 minutes Sliding Scale Options: $115 / $90 FAMILY & DYADIC THERAPY SESSIONS $165 – 55 minutes $180 – 75 minutes Sliding Scale Options: $140 / $115 / $90 COMMUNITY SUPPORT OPTION For those who are in a position to contribute more, a $160+ Community Support Rate is available for ongoing sessions. Choosing this option helps support access to care for families who may not otherwise be able to afford therapy. HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR APPROPRIATE RATE Please select the rate that feels sustainable for you. You might consider: -I can comfortably meet my basic needs (housing, food, bills) -I have some financial flexibility vs. I am living paycheck to paycheck -I have access to savings, support, or financial safety nets -I am managing debt or significant expenses -I can pay for extras (activities, travel, dining out) without stress GENERAL GUIDANCE: -Choose a higher tier if you feel financially stable and have flexibility -Choose a middle tier if you are generally stable but mindful of spending -Choose a lower tier if finances feel tight or stressful Sliding scale spots are limited. If your financial situation changes over time, you’re welcome to move between tiers when space allows. If you’re unsure what feels right, I’m always happy to talk through options with you. Choosing a higher rate, if it’s available to you, is a meaningful way to help make therapy more accessible for others in the community. Please reach out and let me know when scheduling which tier you would like to be placed in, and I will let you know if that slot is still available.
